The T.A. Dugger Jr. Lady Cyclones got their first taste of the new East Middle School basketball program on Thursday evening and in Jr. Lady Cyclone fashion handed the team a loss in that column.
In the junior varsity contest, the Jr. Lady Cyclones had to battle to the end before edging East 32-28.
Andrea Flores continued her hot play in the early season by leading TAD with 16 points in the contest with three treys in the mix.
Aubrey Cole added a pair of treys and finished with seven points to aid in the Jr. Lady Cyclone victory.
Kalli Shepard contributed to the win also with six points with Lillie McDuffie adding a field goal for two points and Lauren Lund connected on 1-of-2 free throws to close out the scoring for T.A. Dugger.

T.A. Dugger…47
East…………….10
Just like the big bad wolf that blew the three pigs houses down, the Jr. Lady Cyclones did the same to East leaving them in shambles with a 47-10 victory.
Nine players scored in the game for TAD led once again by Michelle Shields as the pint-sized guard keeps coming up big by firing in 18 points with two treys in the contest to lead all scorers.
Shields had plenty of help in this contest as Marley Lewis and Abbie Crigger tossed in six points apiece as well.
Kayelyn Nave contributed with five points while Mollie Johnson and Shayla Orellana netted three points each.
Kaiya Simmons, Marlee Mathena, and Rhi Williams registered two points apiece to close out the scoring for the Jr. Lady Cyclones.
