Sometimes it doesn’t hurt to be reminded of the old saying that it’s not over with until it’s over.

The Keenburg Lady Tigers did just that on Thursday evening as the Lady Tigers fell behind in the third quarter before rebounding with a two-point win, 29-27.

Bambi Nance scored eight points in the first half to help make sure her Lady Tigers had a fighting chance as the teams went to the locker room knotted at 16-all.

Tiffany Dugger added six points and Katie Hartley had two in the 16-point half.

Emma Chandley scored six for the Lady Bucs in the half while Lemy Ortiz and Vania Ortiz chipped in with four points each.

Tables turned on Keenburg in the third period when the Lady Tigers went colder than a frozen turkey collecting only a single point while University pushed out to a 25- 17 advantage heading into the final period.

Nance had the only point of the period for the Lady Tigers.

The game turned dramatically in the final six minutes of play when it was Keenburg who took on the offensive aggressor role and outscored University 12-2 in the quarter.

Utilizing Nance, the Lady Tigers rallied as the post player totaled seven of her game-high 16 points in the closing quarter.

Ashiah Burgess helped in the charge with three points with Dugger netting two.

For the game aside from Nance’s 16 point output, Dugger finished with eight points, Burgess three points, and Hartley’s two points closed out the scoring.

Chandley finished with 10 points to pace University with Oliva Fabus adding eight points.
