With the Elizabethton Cyclones putting in final work heading into Saturday’s BlueCross Bowl Championship, Cyclone Fever is hitting a high level and there are some opportunities to help make the week even more memorable.
On Saturday morning at 7:45 am the community is highly encouraged to gather in the student parking lot to send off the players, coaches, cheerleaders, and band as buses are scheduled to pull out at 8 am and the administration wants to make sure the student-athletes know how much they are appreciated for their accomplishments.
Also, the Elizabethton Star is currently working to put together a special keepsake publication for the championship season which is scheduled to print next week.
Photos of players and families on the championship run along with former alumni and cheerleaders are being requested by Ivan Sanders, Star Sports Editor, for the keepsake and can be emailed to ivan.sanders@elizabethton.com.
Also, the family of players and coaches can put a special congratulatory message in the keepsake for $25 per message up to 35 words or less that will also include a photo of the player or coach.
These are prepaid messages and anyone can stop by the Star office front desk and place the message and make a payment or if using a card to pay, can call 423-542-4151 and have the message placed.
Tuesday will be the deadline for doing so.
Businesses can also leave a lasting message in the keepsake with special rates available to do so by contacting Brandy Trivett at 423-297-9068 or 423-737-2623 or by email at brandy.trivett@elizabethton.com. Again, Tuesday is the deadline for doing so.
