The annual game, which was first played in January 2010, is a post-season event that brings together selected seniors from over 50 high school football teams in northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia.

The game allows the selected seniors to showcase their talents while having fellowship with other players and coaches and sharing the message of Christ.

Players gather to practice daily for one week and are treated to a banquet where they will be recognized and presented with both their game jersey and an FCA Bible prior to the game.

This game is part of an attempt to fulfill the FCA Vision and Mission which is to lead coaches and athletes into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and in turn, see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of those coaches and athletes. (Www.fca.org)

Miller, who was invited to participate based upon his talent on the field as well as his character both on and off the field, will be playing on the West team.

He will be joined by seniors from Elizabethton, Greeneville, Hampton, Sullivan Central, Sullivan North, Johnson County, North Greene, West Greene, Trinity Academy, Dobyns Bennett, Daniel Boone, and others.

The West team will be coached by Shawn Witten of Elizabethton High School.

Miller has played football for eight years, playing both left tackle and defensive tackle. He was recently named Region 1-A Offensive Lineman of the year.

When asked his thoughts about the game, he stated that he is excited to hit the field one more time and feels extremely blessed and honored to have been given this opportunity.

The FCA All-Star Game is set for Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Tennessee High School. Kickoff will be 1:30 pm.
