John and Elizabeth Banks celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party for friends and family at Banks, Banks and Light Law Offices followed by a dinner at Shirley’s Restaurant for family.

They were married December 6, 1969, at Perry Christian Church in Canton, Ohio, by Sherrill Storey.

John is the son of Robert and Phyllis Banks. Elizabeth is the daughter of Wayne and Marie Hair.

The couple have three children, Jennifer Banks, Eleanor Banks Light (Jason Light) and Beck Banks (Dorian Volpe Banks).

They are blessed with four grandchildren, Dylan and Gabriel Thornton, Claire Banks and Annabelle Light.
