“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest,” Matthew 11:28. William (Bill) Zimmermann, son of Carolyn (Sommers) and Werner Zimmermann, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 15th, 2019.

Mr. Zimmermann was a graduate of ETSU, where he earned his Master’s degree. He loved teaching at Hunter Elementary, where he taught many students during his forty-year tenure. He was a member of Hunter United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Masons.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years, Sandra; his children, Tracey, Paul, Matt and John. His grandchildren Amber (Gale), Sean, Thomas, Dane, and Bryn Cannon, Cody and Eli Zimmermann, Caden Zimmermann and a great-granddaughter Kacey Gale.

The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, December 19th, at Hunter United Methodist Church from 5-7 pm. The family wishes to thank Amedysis Home Health Services for the care and kindness shown to our family. Special thanks to Becky Bennett, Lee and Michelle, and also Dr. Steve Ruiz and HUMC.
