Casey Dalton-Frank Garland

Casey Dalton-Frank Garland, 15, of Elizabethton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was born January 13, 2004 in Johnson City.
Casey was a Sophomore at Elizabethton High School. He was so full of life and made everyone laugh. He wanted to be a mechanic and enjoyed music, x-box and playing football.
Casey was involved with the Youth Group at Heartland Church, the Youth Group at Beck Mountain Baptist Mission Team and the Youth Group at Oak Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Terry Kilby Casteel, and maternal great-grandfather, Frank Kilby; and his maternal aunts, Joey Murr and Missy Murr.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother and step-dad, Kelly Sells, of the home, and Jason Norton; a brother, Terry Garland; a sister, Kelsye Garland; his Nana and Paw, Reta and Tim Harrison; his step-Nana, Charlene Burmeister; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and special family friends, LaVai Burmeister and Justin Brodie Clark.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, in the Sunrise Cemetery, Bluff City, with Mr. Justin Clark officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be Kelsye Garland, Terry Garland, LaVai Burmeister, David Burmeister, Josh Cole, Wesley Taylor, Cody Sigman, Logan Sigman and William Sells. Honorary pallbearers will be his classmates at Elizabethton High School. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will be at the Lynn Wood-Lynn Ridge Community Church at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
