To the Editor:
This month we celebrate the birthday of the late Baptist Pastor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Most people don’t know he was a baptist pastor because most of the media don’t want to recognize the positive accomplishments of pastors. The party platforms have changed so much I think Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would now be a Republican even though 95 percent of blacks vote Democrat. The majority of blacks support Joe Biden for president in 2020.
Pastor John MacArthur said he didn’t vote for Donald Trump in 2016 but Trump’s worldview. Trump’s worldview got Pastor MacArthur’s vote and 80 percent of Christians in 2016. Trump’s worldview is expressed in his party platform. Pastor Dr. Jim Garlow said “the Democratic platform contains many points which are anti-Biblical,” causing him to vote Republican. Pastor Dr. Martin Luther King would almost certainly come to the same conclusion and vote Republican.
During his first term in office President Trump has done more to bring attention to and stop persecution of Christians and Jews worldwide than any president. President Trump is the most pro-Israel president since President Truman recognized Israel as a country 72 years ago. President Trump removed taxpayer funds from Planned Parenthood that performs more abortions than any organization. President Trump appointed conservatives to the courts who follow the U.S. Constitution. These actions by Trump have made him even more popular with conservatives and Christians than when he took office.
The parties have changed from President Kennedy who wanted to put a man on the moon to President Obama who wanted to put a man in the women’s bathroom. President Kennedy said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country.” Now leaders of the Democrat Party support socialism over capitalism and multiculturalism over American patriotism and heritage. The Democrat Party leaders support globalism and giving the U.N. more power and money. Past communism leaders like Lenin in Russia have said socialism is the road to communism.
I don’t believe as a Baptist pastor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would have joined in the applause at the 2016 Democratic National Convention (DNC) for someone who was proud of their abortion. King Jr. was on record against homosexuality and is unlikely to support the Democrat position that redefined marriage. He is unlikely to join the Democrats in supporting same-sex marriage rights over religious rights. King Jr. wouldn’t evolve on the issue like President Obama did. Obama evolved which is defined as a mindless change. With his murder 50 years ago by the butterfly effect every configuration was changed forever. King Jr. has his place in American history and much better as a Christian he has his place in Heaven!
