To the Editor:
We want to tell you about our teacher and basketball and softball helper, Ms. Tammy. She teaches us at Hunter Elementary School in Carter County. She is an awesome teacher and helps us any time we need help. She gives us the chance to get our work right and makes sure we understand what we are doing.
She also has been our coach in basketball and softball for a long time. Even though she doesn’t coach us anymore, she still helps us with school ball. She keeps the coach’s score book and makes sure that all the players have what they need. She worked really hard to get equipment donated for basketball and softball. Some of the players don’t have the money for extra stuff they need, but Ms. Tammy makes sure everyone gets what they need. She is also helping get softball stuff for us even though softball play has not started yet.
We see all the time where teachers, coaches, and players get recognition in the paper or in other news for what they do. We think Ms. Tammy should get in there, too. We want to do something nice for her because she also is always doing nice stuff for us.
