Donald Glen Hathaway

Donald Glen Hathaway, 74, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Albert and Hattie Meredith Hathaway.
Don served in the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended East Tennessee State College. He had lived in Orlando, Fla., for 23 years.
Don was retired District Sales Manager with Motorola Communications. He was an avid UT Sports fan and he enjoyed fishing. Don was a member of First Christian Church of Elizabethton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Hathaway; a nephew, Jeffery Hathaway; and a brother-in-law. Jerry Eugene Hubbard.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Charlotte Hubbard Hathaway; a brother, Harry (Salle) Hathaway, Orlando, Fla.; his nephews, Brian Hathaway, Greg (Angie) Hubbard and Jamie (Lori) Hubbard; his great-nephews, Cole and Jonah Hubbard; and a special sister-in-law, Loretta Hubbard.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday, February 15, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pam Gentry officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Life Care Center of Elizabethton and the staff of the Second Floor at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. It was his wish to be cremated.
