Milligan College’s musical theatre program will present “Love Cabaret” from Feb. 14-16 in the McGlothlin-Street Theatre located in the Gregory Center.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m., Feb. 14-15, and 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 16. All seats are $10 and reserved. Tickets can be purchased in advance at milligan.tix.com.

The cabaret-style event features a cast of over 25 students performing some of Broadway’s most iconic love songs, with selections from “The Sound of Music,” “South Pacific,” “Into the Woods,” “Les Misérables,” “Hamilton” and many more. These stand-alone songs are bookended by two group performances, and Herd Mentality, Milligan’s male acapella ensemble, will perform.

An overarching theme of love ties the program together.

“The love ranges from romantic love to love of a friend or even love of a sister,” explained Dr. Carrie Klofach, assistant professor of musical theatre. “I wanted the musical to be about all kinds of love, not just the romantic love that we associate with Valentine’s Day.”
