The Carter County Democratic Women issue an open invitation to join them on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Dino’s in Elizabethton. Those wishing to eat, please come at 5 p.m. The business meeting will begin at 5:45 p.m.

Following the business meeting, the group will welcome Amber Riddle. Riddle has an inspiring story of overcoming disadvantages and rising above tragedy to throw her hat in the ring to run for Tennessee State Senator from the fourth district, which includes Watauga and Stoney Creek in Carter County. Riddle supports Medicaid expansion, unions, increased wages for classroom teachers, rural community investment, support for farmers, and gun safety.
