Region games on tap beginning tonight

As many basketball teams have already cleaned out their lockers and packed away the uniforms and basketballs until next season rolls around, there are still a few local teams that will be fighting to continue their season beginning tonight with girls’ play and on Saturday with boys action.
Winners from these games will advance to semifinal games on Monday and Tuesday with Class A play taking place at Walters State Community College and Class AA being played at Grainger County High School.
Here are the breakdowns of the local teams still playing:

Those schools that make it to the finals will qualify for sectional play with the winning team gaining a home game and the loser traveling. Winners from the sectional contest qualify for a trip to the state tournament in Murfreesboro.
