Late evening accident snarls traffic in front of Walmart

Star Photo/Ivan Sanders A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hudson Drive and West Elk Avenue in front of Walmart snarled traffic at the entrance to the store.
An accident involving a white pick-up truck and a white SUV served to create some headaches for shoppers looking to turn into the Walmart from West Elk Avenue on Tuesday evening.
The Elizabethton Police Department had several units respond to the accident to divert traffic around the accident until two tow trucks could be called to remove the damaged vehicles.
A truck from the Elizabethton Fire Department was also dispatched as firemen worked to clean broken glass and debris from the road.
