Our wonderful dad, Charles William Auvil, of Elizabethton, Tenn., left this world on Saturday, February 22, 2020. He is now with the angels drinking Cheerwine and eating M&M’s. He was surrounded by his Tennessee family whom he so greatly loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gay Polling Auvil; an infant brother; his wife, Judy Shaw Auvil; and an infant son.
He is survived by his son, Todd Auvil, who misses his dad and friend tremendously; Todd’s wife, Linda, and their children, McKenzie, Dawson, Ross and Ryan, who have been left heartbroken at the loss of their Pap; his daughter, Stephanie Auvil, and her children, Meghan and Brian Beury; his daughters, Lora Dunnigan and Tina Davis, who cared for him in his last weeks in this world, Leah Thomas, and a son, Eric Davis. He is also survived by a sister, Deborah Auvil Cain; an amazing friend, Phyllis Davis; his best friend, Mack Collins and the Barn crew; his canine friend Bella; and many other friends who will miss his witty conversations. He was seldom at a loss for words.
His request was to be cremated with no service and to have his ashes scattered in Tennessee.
