Earl Ellis Jr., Elizabethton, will celebrate his 97th birthday on Thursday, March 12, with his two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Jody Ellis, Elizabethton, and Ron and Dee Ellis, Elizabethton.

Earl proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from the Elizabethton Post Office.
