Schedule of activities at the Elizabethton Senior Center for the week of March 16-20:
Membership Dues: $15 per year for 60 and older; $30 per year for 55-59. Come and join us and receive a monthly newsletter, have lunch, and enjoy the many activities and programs we provide every day and our fully-equipped fitness room .
Monday: Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; Lunch — Chicken Tenders, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga, 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Gentle-Flow Yoga, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Tuesday: Parkinson’s Therapy, 10 a.m. Physical therapists from Hillview Health Center will be here demonstrating new intense balance therapy for those with Parkinsons. If you or someone you know has Parkinsons, come and find out about this therapy to increase mobility; Lunch — Meatloaf, 11 a.m.; Line Dancing — Beginners’ Class, 12-1 p.m.; Advanced Line Dancing — 1-2:30 p.m.
Wednesday: Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; Lunch — BBQ Pork Riblet, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga, 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Gentle-Flow Yoga, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Thursday: Dancercise, 9:30 a.m.; Lunch — Beef Vegetable Soup, 11 a.m.
Friday: Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; Lucky Bingo, 10 a.m. Sponsored by Amedysis. Refreshments and prizes. Wear something green; Lunch — Baked Ham, 11 a.m.
UPCOMING TRIP to The Ark Encounter and Creation Museum, May 11-15. Cost of $600 includes 4 nights lodging, 8 meals, admission to the Ark Encounter, admission to the Famous Creation Museum, admission to the Newport Aquarium and Riverboat sightseeing cruise. Call the Senior Center at 543-4362 or Brenda Berry at 543-4476 to sign up or come by the Center to pick up an itinerary. Deadline is March 31!
MARCH 24 — MARCH FOR MEALS at 11 a.m. Yes, there is such a thing as a FREE lunch and you can enjoy one today. Hot dogs, baked beans, potato wedges, coleslaw, and dessert. Reservations are required no later than Friday, March 20. Provided by HRA nutrition program. Come and see what good lunches we serve.
