“The VITA program is a highlight for many students during their time at Milligan,” said Heather Vaccaro, assistant professor of business administration. “Our students appreciate this practical, hands-on approach to servant-leadership, and we look forward to continuing this service again next year.”

Milligan’s VITA program has served local taxpayers for over a decade and is sponsored by Bank of Tennessee and Carter County Bank. Milligan student volunteers have completed hundreds of returns and saved local taxpayers thousands of dollars, with each client averaging over $1,000 in refunds.
