Richard T. “Dick” Brush

Richard T. “Dick” Brush, 79, of Morristown, Tenn., passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020, at his residence following an extended illness. A native of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late John Brush and Dorothy Colquhoun Brush.
“Dick” retired as the owner and operator of L and H Tubular Products. He loved to fish and was a model train collector. He also enjoyed spending time at home and traveling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Glenda Kay Trivette Brush; a sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Brush Gallant; brothers-in-law, Conrad Kien and Boyd Trivette; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Peggy and Charles Henson; and his mother-in-law, Rana Dugger Trivette.
Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Lisa Brush, Morristown, Tenn., and Heather Hawkins and husband John, Candler, N.C.; two sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Brush Kenney and husband Bill, Windsor, Ontario, and Barbara Brush Kien, Royal Oak, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Donnis Trivette, Butler, Tenn.; and a special niece, Shelia Irvine, Johnson City, Tenn. Several other nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Richard T. “Dick” Brush will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, March 24, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Poga Cemetery, Butler, Tenn. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Yurich and Tony Snypes. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to your local Animal Shelter.
