On Tuesday, around 10:45 a.m., the Watauga Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Spears Avenue concerning a report of a mobile home fire. Upon arrival, the abandoned home was fully engulfed. With the aid of water provided by the Hampton-Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Department, the fire was quickly under control and extinguished. The mobile home is a complete loss.
