TCAT Elizabethton response to COVID-19

Given the ever-evolving nature of COVID-19, the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Elizabethton is going to a fully online remote learning format ONLY, no in-person instruction effective March 25, 2020, and will continue until April 6, 2020.
The college will continually evaluate our status and the effects the pandemic is having during the interim and beyond the April 6 timeframe and will update everyone on any change in status that might occur in a timely fashion.
We will plan to return to Distance Education operations (with some in-person regular instruction (current operation model) on Monday, April 6), however this is subject to change. Upon return, the current Spring 2020 trimester may extend to the end of April for make-up work.
During online remote learning status of the college, only essential staff will be on campus and only when required, all campus buildings will be secured with no entry from the public. We encourage the public to visit the college website for the latest updates located at: www.tcatelizabethton.edu.
Support services of the college, Financial Aid, Student Services, Business Office and IT Support will be reaching out to instructional staff as we move to online distance education operations with additional guidance related to those specific operations.

The decisions we make are not arrived at without due care, we give a great amount of consideration to the impacts and consequences our decisions may have, however these are unprecedented times we are experiencing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
