Carter County Schools alter food drive-through services
Published 11:39 am Monday, March 30, 2020
As of Monday, March 30 Carter County Schools must discontinue the food drive-through service at the 10
remote locations throughout the county. We regret this but it is absolutely necessary to put additional
precautions in place at this time to stop the spread of COVID-19/Coronavirus.
The original five locations for food pick up will continue, today, March 30 through Wednesday, April 1 from 12-
1. These are: Cloudland Elementary, Hampton High School, Hunter Elementary, Happy Valley Elementary, and
Little Milligan. On Wednesday, April 1 children will receive breakfast and lunch for three days.
Beginning Monday, April 6 the five pick up sites will have meals only on Monday and Wednesday each week.
On Mondays, children will receive breakfast and lunch for two days and on Wednesdays they will receive three
of each meal.
Carter County Schools will continue to monitor the situation and will make adjustments to the alternative food
plan as needed.
