Jack Lloyd Greer

Jack Lloyd Greer, 88, Elizabethton, went to be with his Lord on Monday, April 13, 2020, at his residence.
A native of Marion, Ohio, he was a son of the late Vaughn Greer and Ruth Brown Greer Carrington.
Mr. Greer served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and was retired as a fine finish carpenter. He had lived in Elizabethton since 1999, moving here from South Daytona, Fla. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, Johnson City. He loved attending his church and Sunday School Class and also loved hunting, fishing, shrimping and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Sandy Askew Greer; his children, Julie (Jon) Cardwell, Elizabethton, and Terry (LaDonna) Greer, Bluff City; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four siblings and one deceased.
A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, April 16, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Dr. Tommy Hood officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Friends may register their presence at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday or Thursday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Greer to Central Baptist Church, 300 N. Roan Street, Johnson City, TN 37601 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
