Floyd Dean Henegar

Floyd Dean Henegar, 72, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020, at his residence.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Lee and Viola Hambrick Henegar.
Floyd was a heavy equipment operator. He attended First Free Will Baptist Church. He loved fishing, hunting and camping.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Frieda Guinn Henegar; his children, Angela (Doug) Jarrett, Jonesborough, Jamie (Scott) Vance, Bluff City, and Billy Henegar, all of Elizabethton; eight grandchildren, Katelyn Jarrett, Mikayla Jarrett, Matthew Jarrett, Kaleb Bare, Kaden Bare, Lukas Vance, Max Henegar and Amelia Henegar; one great-grandson, Sawyer Arbaugh; two sisters, Nina Hill, Jonesborough, and Lois M. Turner, Elizabethton; two brothers, Dennis (Georgia) Henegar and Glen (Linda) Henegar, both of Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be conducted Sunday, April 19, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Nathan Jennings officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Dr. Brian Way and the staff of Blue Ridge Family Center, Dr. Patel and staff of Tennessee Cancer and the staff of Ballad Hospice.
