New virtual competition announced

Elizabethton Parks and Recreation and the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library have teamed up to offer virtual contests through our Facebook pages to help keep our community engaged, active and imaginative while staying safe at home!
The next virtual contest begins Monday, April 27, through Friday, May 1, 12 p.m. as we host a “Show Us Your Recreation” competition. This competition is open to all ages and participants will upload a photo of themselves, their children, or anyone in their households showing us how they get their recreation in for the day. This can be playing outside, cooking, gardening, reading, etc. Participants are asked to upload their photo to the Parks and Recreation’s Facebook page, or send us a message through Facebook messenger along with a photo. Judges will pay attention to both the photography and content of the photo.
A winner will be chosen on Friday, May 1, and will be awarded a prize pack courtesy of the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library and the Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department.
A new contest will be announced weekly!
