Rollover on Highway 91 results in injuries

A single-vehicle accident on Highway 91 just above Carter Christian Church resulted in two people being taken to the local hospital for injuries.
According to Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Brad Proffitt, a black Jeep experienced mechanical problems that resulted in the vehicle leaving the roadway abruptly and rolling over.
The passenger in the Jeep was ejected from the vehicle when it flipped and was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries while the driver was also transported to the hospital for further examination.
Members of the Carter County Sheriff’s Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Department, and Carter County Rescue Squad responded to the accident.
The Jeep was rolled back onto all four wheels by members of the fire department.
