Raymond Michael Woodby, 77, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Raymond was a native of Elizabethton, Tenn., and resided in Gray, Tenn. He was a minister and dedicated 25 years of his life serving in the United States Air Force before he retired. Raymond enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Woodby and Rosa Mae Stroud Woodby.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Ann Daigle Woodby, of 49 years; two daughters, Temple Fawn Williams and Armeta Jo Pierce; three sisters, Georgia Hickman, Joan Ramey and Janice McKay; one brother, Larry Woodby; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Due to the current restrictions a graveside service will be held at VA Mountain Home National Cemetery with Minster Robin Vosbury officiating at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 204 West Walnut Street, Johnson City, TN 37604 in his memory. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.mtnempirecbs.com.
