MILLIGAN COLLEGE — Milligan College announced this week that it plans to have students return to campus for the fall semester. This fall will represent a historic moment as students begin the first semester at Milligan University.
Milligan President Dr. Bill Greer noted that the health and safety of Milligan’s students, faculty and staff will be the top priority for the fall.
“It is important that we plan for a reimagined sense of normal operations in the fall,” said Greer. “We look forward to our community being back together and will be developing protocols to ensure safety in our classrooms, residence halls, dining facilities and other campus venues. We also are considering various contingency plans should they be needed. What I can promise is Milligan will continue to uphold and provide students with our distinctive approach to higher education.”
Milligan’s specific approach for the fall semester, as well as its contingency plans, will be communicated in the coming weeks so the Milligan community can plan and prepare.
Several planning teams have been established to research and establish the most effective implementation of a campus operational plan for the fall. The planning teams include the following areas: academics and instructional technology, student life, residential and food services, athletics, and health and safety.
Milligan is still accepting applications for the fall semester for its undergraduate and graduate programs. Limited campus tours are now available by appointment, and expanded opportunities for campus tours will be available on Monday, June 1. All tours will uphold proper health and social distancing guidelines.
Milligan’s new student orientation sessions will be offered virtually this summer, and deposits for admission are refundable until the first day of fall classes.
