Selda Arnold Wilson, 96, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord and those who had passed before her on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, from Ivy Hall Nursing Home. Selda was born in Carter County to the late David P. Ellis and Minnie Bullock Ellis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Arnold; her second husband, Frank Wilson; a daughter, Linda Farmer; and four sisters, Florence Ellis, Mable Birchfield, Juanita White and Ida Andes.
Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Gail Pierce and husband Ronnie of Piney Flats, Jean Bowers and husband Buddy of Elizabethton and Lois Myers and husband Wesley, also of Elizabethton; a sister, Gladys Hicks of Bluff City; and ten grandchildren. Several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A service to honor the life of Selda Arnold Wilson will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 12 until 2 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service. The graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
