The cooler temperatures, lower humidity, and the high overcast skies on Thursday made it a perfect day for Emma Lewis and Dylan Wagner of Elizabethton to make the hike up to Laurel Falls and hopefully get so great photos.

Cooler temperatures and passing clouds make for an ideal way to relax in the company of good friends like these four (from the left) John Stephens, Mia Kelso, Lexi Stephens and Savanna Langhorne, whom all made the trip down from Johnson County to enjoy a day on Watauga Lake at Watauga Point.
It’s been a hard week or maybe two and one’s mind is just ready to pop from all the stress of daily life.
What should they do?
Go to Watauga Lake of course as there is nothing that can relieve stress like getting out with the family for a picnic and a day of games like volleyball and horseshoes.
Make sure to take the pets with you because they enjoy being around the water as well.
Star Photographer Larry Souders took some time at the lake this week and caught several people just enjoying one of the great resources that Carter County has to offer in the Watauga Lake.
