Attention all city school parents… Academic track application online, due July 26th by midnight

The purpose of this message is to inform all parents that the Cyclone Academic Track Application is now available on the school system website at www.ecschools.net. 

A separate application should be completed for each school-age child in the system. 

Parents will either select the traditional learning track or the distance learning track.  Students who opt for the Tradition Learning Track will physically attend school so long as school buildings remain open and will transition to Distance Learning should the pandemic force school closure.

Students who opt for the Distance Learning Track will receive instruction and complete assigned tasks in an online setting.

This application will ask a series of questions regarding their instructional preferences. 

The deadline for completion of the application is this Sunday, July 26, 2020. 

For planning purposes, each family must choose an option by this Sunday at midnight.  There are additional resources located on the school system website. 

Before parents make selection(s), they are encouraged to review the Distance Learning Handbook, along with the Frequently Asked Questions documents. 

This information will help parents to make an informed decision concerning their child’s academic track.

As everyone knows, COVID-19 cases are on the rise in our community. 

We continue to monitor the situation, in consultation with the local and regional health departments, and will update everyone with new information as it becomes available.
