Effective Monday, July 27, COVID-19 testing at the Carter County Health Department will be done only between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The afternoon hours for testing will be stopped.
Testing is being done across the street from the health department in the First Baptist Church Parking Lot at the intersection of E. G Street and Holston Avenue. Entrance and exit for testing will be from Holston Avenue only. The health department is located at 403 E. G St.
Health department personnel will conduct nasal swab collection for COVID-19 testing. Test results may be available within 72 hours, depending on the volume of tests that the testing lab receives.
