Covered Bridge Jams return this weekend
The Covered Bridge Jams, Elizabethton’s annual Saturday night music in the park series, will return to the park during August.
The free weekly concerts will take place each Saturday night in August, beginning today at Covered Bridge Park from 7-9 p.m. and will continue each Saturday through August 29.
This event is proudly sponsored by WBEJ and the Elizabethton Star.
This evening’s featured band is Shooterband, which is a hot mix of classic country and classic rock, with a few select new music pieces thrown in. Their performance promises some of the best three-part harmonies this side of Nashville and leaves listeners singing along.
Participants are asked to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets as bleacher seating will not be available. Attendants are also asked to socially distance — at least six feet from anyone not inside their household. Wearing a mask is encouraged under Carter County’s recent COVID-19 mask directive.
