Lola McCranie celebrates 95th birthday on Aug. 4

Lola Phillips McCranie will be 95 years old on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020.
Lola grew up in Chattanooga. She came to the old town of Butler as a new bride in 1945.
After Watauga Lake covered Butler, Lola and her husband moved to Hampton and started a family that would eventually include five children — Wayne, Linda, Danny, Bob and Tina Phillips.
Many people know Lola from her days as a cafeteria manager at Hampton Elementary and from her service as a volunteer “Pink Lady” at the local hospital.
Friends are invited to drive by Lola’s house on August 4 between 10 and 11 a.m. to honk and wave to wish her “Happy Birthday.”
