Russell David Brown, A.K.A. “Frog,” 66, of Elizabethton, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was a son of the late Russell Brown and Judy Hughes Lewis and was born in Elizabethton on July 22, 1954.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Lewis, and a sister, Connie VanSickle.
Russell was a customer host at Walmart of Elizabethton. He enjoyed working with model cars and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Cathy Oaks Brown, of the home; three children, Sabrina Jones (David) of Hampton, David Brown and Bradford Brown, both of Elizabethton; nine grandchildren, Jeremiah Brown, Elizabeth Pearl Brown, Mary Abigail Brown, Eric Brown, Emilia Brown, Aurora Brown, Lucy Brown, Elizabeth Phillips, Ashly Jones and Andrew Jones; four great-grandchildren, Carl James Blackburn, Ashlynn Spates, Andrew Jones Jr. and Emilia Jones; two brothers, Mark Lewis of California and John Lewis of Michigan; a sister-in-law, Rebecca Honeycutt of South Carolina; a brother-in-law, Julius Oaks of Elizabethton; two nieces, Samantha Honeycutt of South Carolina and Jennifer Lanning of Elizabethton; and five nephews, Michael Oaks of Hampton, Chris Honeycutt, Brandon Honeycutt and Alex Honeycutt, all of South Carolina, and Kelly Oaks of Greeneville, Tenn.
It was Mr. Brown’s wishes to be cremated and there are no services planned at this time. Online condolences may be shared with the family on our website, www.hathawaypercy.com.
