Harley Crow, 87, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton after an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Bronson and Sarah Pierce Crow.
Harley served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation. Harley loved working with wood and fishing. He was a member of North Side Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Williams Crow, who passed away November 15, 2013, and a sister, Elizabeth Crow.
Survivors include his children, Judy Gentry, Kelvin (Deborah) Crow and Cody Crow, all of Elizabethton; his granddaughters, Joy Young, Jessica (Ryan) Buchanan, Candy (Matthew) Martin and Kayla Crow and friend Erin Potter; his grandson, Kevin (Zulema) Crow of New York; and a sister, Vina Ruth Nave, Elizabethton. Several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, at Mountain Home National Cemetery (New Section) with Pastor Brandon Young officiating. Music will be provided by Jon Shell, piper. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, will be Kelvin Crow, Kevin Crow, Cody Crow, Ryan Buchanan, Canaan Young and Noah Young. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Life Care Center. Military Honors will be provided by the Carter County Honor Guard. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
