Watauga Valley
The Joyaires from Harriman, Tenn., will present a program of gospel music Sunday at the morning worship service at Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church.
The service will begin at 11 a.m. and everyone is invited.
Later that evening at 6 o’clock they will be at the East Side Free Will Baptist Church.
The Joyaires are comprised of husband wife Ernie and Debbie Peters.
The Rev. Bill Greer is pastor.
The church is located on Highway 91 just above Unaka High School.
Roan Street Free Will
The Knight Family will present special singing Sunday at 10 a.m. at Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church.
The service will be an in-car service in the fellowship hall parking lot.
Those attending can tune in to FM 89.7
Families are asked to stay in their car or follow social distancing guidelines.
First Christian
First Christian Church, Elizabethton, is currently making three services available on Sunday. An in-person worship service with social distancing in the sanctuary is held at 9:45 a.m.
A live radio worship service is also held at that time for those who wish to worship in their cars. Those attending are asked to park in the parking lot next to the Elizabethton Police Department and tune in to 90.5 FM.
Also, a HD quality online service via the church Facebook page is available Sunday evening. For a link to watch the service, call the church office at 542-5651 and it can be sent by email.
The community is urged to pray for the church’s Law Enforcement and Community Prayer and Praise Service on Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. at First Christian Church. The service is in partnership with Phillippi Missionary Baptist Church.
Also, a Wednesday evening Bible study on the book of Galations has begun. The study is held at 6 p.m.

Borderview
Borderview Christian Church, 1338 Bristol Highway, will begin a parking lot evening worship service Sunday.
The service will be held at 6 p.m., and communion will be available.
Families can stay in their vehicles and listen to the service on 92.7 FM.
Ministers will be outside and the service will also be streamed live on Facebook.
Carter Christian
Carter Christian Church, 1765 Highway 91, Stoney Creek, will celebrate homecoming as well as its 85th anniversary Sunday, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Scott Fisher from Borderview Christian Church will be guest speaker, and special music will be by members of the congregation and others.
There will not be any Sunday School classes, nor will there be a homecoming meal due to COVID-19 concerns.

First Presbyterian
An online worship service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. The pastor, Dr. Brian Wyatt, will present a sermon titled “A Prayer for Today” based on Matt. 6: 9-15.
Youth and Adult Forums, Wednesday Meditation and Thursdays with Jesus will meet online this week.
All in-person events remain cancelled until further notice.
