A combined celebration… EHS celebrates fall sports seniors, crowns Homecoming Queen 2020

The Elizabethton Cyclones were supposed to celebrate Homecoming 2020 against Union County but when that game got canceled out and there were no other takers, that event was moved to correspond with Senior Night 2020.

Fall sports athletes along with band and chorus were recognized during Friday night’s final regular-season contest against Sullivan Central while a Homecoming Queen was also crowned with a tiara.

The five candidates that were vying for the title of Miss EHS Homecoming 2020 were:

Macy Street, the daughter of Tara and Chad Street. Miss Street is part of the Mountain Club and Younglife at the school. She attends Slagles United Methodist Church.

Street was escorted by Holston Howard, the son of Jennifer and Hannon Howard. Chad Street was the golf cart driver for Miss Street.

Olivia Caroline Vaughn, the daughter of Misty Buck and Jack Vaughn. Miss Vaughn is an EHS Cheerleader and participates in the Mountain Club, Younglife, Clone Club, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

She is a Showcase Dancer at Watts Dance Studio and attends Southside Christian Church and is very active in the youth group. Vaughn plans to attend ETSU in the fall.

Miss Vaughn was escorted by William Willocks, the son of Angela Willocks and Billy Willocks. She was chauffeured by Jack Vaughn.

Sophia Ryan Paulson is the daughter of Ronda and Corey Paulson. Miss Paulson has been an EHS Cheerleader for three years and is a member of the Student Government Association, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the National Honors Society, and participates in Younglife.

Miss Paulson attends First Baptist Youth Group and North Ridge Community Church. She also volunteers alongside her family with Isaiah 117 House.

Her escort was Mac Paulson, her brother. Miss Paulson was chauffeured by her father, Corey, and was sponsored by Isaiah 117 House.

Torrie Avelina Roberts is the daughter of Ansley Roberts. Miss Roberts participates on the EHS girls’ basketball team and is a member of the Advanced Women’s Ensemble, Clone Club, Mountain Club, FCA, National Honors Society, and Younglife.

Miss Roberts loves to hand out with family and friends. She attends Calvary Church and binge watches Netflix shows.

She was escorted by Carson Peters, the son of Robin and Jamie Peters. Her chauffeured by Aaron Scott.

The final Homecoming contestant was Jacey Ray Fair who is the daughter of Christy and Travis Fair. Miss Fair is a member of the Student Government, National Honors Society, Mountain Club, Clone Club, and FCA.

Miss Fair attends West Side Christian Church. Her escort was Dylan Wagner, the son of Kristy Whitehead and Chris Wagner. Her chauffeur was going to be chosen from Travis Fair or Dylan Wagner.

The 2020 EHS Homecoming Queen selected by the student body was Macy Street. The first runner-up was Jacey Fair, second runner-up was Torrie Roberts, third runner-up was Olivia Vaughn, and the fourth runner-up was Sophia Paulson.
