JOHNSON CITY – As a result of the NCAA granting The Citadel’s waiver request to play 12 regular-season games this academic year, the Southern Conference has added an April 10 contest between the Bulldogs and Furman in Charleston, S.C.

The April 10 showdown has been added to its previously announced spring football schedule, necessitating five other games to move to accommodate the addition.

The Bucs were one of five SoCon schools that underwent a schedule change. All four home games for the Bucs will remain as scheduled, with only road games being affected by the ruling.

ETSU will now hold its bye week in the second week of the season on Feb. 27, following the Feb. 20 season opener against Samford at William B. Greene, Jr. Stadium.

The original bye week was scheduled for March 20. The remaining two changes will be the Bucs’ showdown at The Citadel on March 20 (originally scheduled for April 3) and then later traveling to VMI on April 3 (originally slated for Feb. 27).
