Jack Carson O’Quinn, 94, Watauga, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Haysi, Va., he was a son of the late Warren and Carrie Powers O’Quinn. He had lived in Tennessee for a number of years.
Mr. O’Quinn had served in the United States Army. He was retired from Paty Lumber Company. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Bonnie Turbyfill, Carmeil Proffitt, Frances Ray and Mozella Smith, and two brothers, Warren O’Quinn and Wayne Kiser.
Survivors include a sister, Alta Mae Lockette, Fredericksburg, Va.; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Norma Campbell, Watauga.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 12, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Friends may register their presence at the funeral home from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:20 p.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.
