First Christian
First Christian Church, Elizabethton, is not canceling Christmas.
“We really can’t because God’s son was born on that ‘cold winter’s night,’” said a church spokesman.
There will be an Advent candle celebration each Sunday through Dec. 20. The Hanging of the Greens is at 9:45 a.m. Dec. 6, and a children’s play will be presented at 6 p.m. Dec. 13.
There will also be the singing of Christmas carols and favorite Christmas songs in the socially-distanced sanctuary on Dec. 2, 9, and 16.
This Sunday, the church will have in-person services, radio parking lot services, and online services available.
Michael Klaus is minister.

New Liberty
Hadley Marie Greer, young daughter of Aaron and Julie Greer, will be baptized Sunday during the 11 a.m. worship service at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
Tammie Cole will provide special Christmas music, kicking off the church’s celebration of Christ’s birth.
In addition to in-person service, other worship options include live-streaming at www.nlfwbchurch.com and via 93.3 FM radio for vehicles parked at the church.
The Rev. Nick Colbaugh, pastor, invites everyone to attend in support of Hadley and her profession of Christ as Savior.
