“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” Psalms 23
Sandra “Sissy” Kay Boyd, 70, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away peacefully at Johnson City Medical Center on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. Heaven gained a precious angel in Sandra’s passing. Sandra was born and raised in Carter County to her late parents, Ford and Florence Julian Barnett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Lynn Boyd.
Sandra was a hairdresser and owned Sandy’s Golden Comb, where she retired after 38 years. She was a member of Blue Springs Christian Church, where she attended faithfully until she was unable, due to failing health. She loved to worship the Lord and her favorite hymn was “Amazing Grace.” Sandra was a very kind person, who both walked and talked her Christian faith. She was such a joy to know and loved to laugh and spend time with family and friends. Sandra will be missed, but we know she is rejoicing in Heaven and in no more pain.
Sandra leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Paul Edward Boyd; her brother, Stanley Lee Barnett; a sister, Shelia Ann Barnett; a grandson, AJ Boyd; and her fur baby, “Candy”. Also, a very special friend, Vicki McGlothlin.
