In a major change to the current operation of Elizabethton City Schools, Elizabethton Director of City Schools Richard VanHuss announced on Friday afternoon that beginning on Monday, December 14, that ALL schools will return to a hybrid schedule through January 22, 2021.

“Due to the rising number of positive COVID cases within our community, students on the Traditional Learning Track at all Elizabethton City Schools will return to a hybrid schedule beginning this Monday, December 14, through January 22, 2021,” said VanHuss.

“With the increase in positive cases we have experienced after holiday school closures, ECS will continue to operate on a hybrid schedule after Christmas break to minimize the impact on students and staff.”
