Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Lena Dee Irick Andrews, 75, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 24, 2020.
Lena was born on October 10, 1945. She attended Elk Mills School and eventually graduated from Hampton High School with the Class of 1964. Throughout her life she worked at North Electric, Zone Aire, and retired from the Facilities Department at East Tennessee State University. She was a long-time member of Centerview Church of Christ.
Lena could often be found cheering on her grandkids at one of their many ball games or tapping her feet along to the music at bluegrass festivals. She loved cooking and was great at it though she would never admit it. She had a strong bond with her siblings and you could often find her with them throughout her life. She was a strong woman who made a positive impact on many people’s lives. She was loved, is missed and will forever be cherished.
She will lovingly be remembered by her best friend and loving husband of 55 years, Jim Andrews; children, Mike Andrews and Greg Andrews and his wife Kristal; grandkids, Jared, Bryceon and Chayse Andrews; siblings, Norma Campbell and Maxine Hardin; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Anna Hicks Irick; brothers, Glasco, Haley and an infant brother, Charles; and sisters, Pauline Swift, Willa Mae Morrison and Dorothy Dugger.
Lena’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses of Amedisys Home Health, Doctor Jeff Farrow and the Pulmonary Associates of East Tennessee. The kindness and knowledge you shared with us will never be forgotten.
