Mary Georgia Hill Blevins
Mary Georgia Hill Blevins, 86, Roan Mountain, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020, at The Waters of Roan Highlands Nursing Home. Georgia was a lifelong resident of Carter County and lived in the Tiger Creek Community of Roan Mountain. She was the only child of the late Jane Whitehead Hill and Walter Hill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Blevins, who passed away in 2014, and her roommate, Margie Guinn, who passed away on November 11, 2020.
Georgia was of the Free Will Baptist Faith. She attended several churches until her health no longer allowed her to do so. She enjoyed the preaching and singing service held at the facility. Other activities she enjoyed while living in the nursing home include making crafts, coloring, feeding and watching the birds outside her room window and especially Bingo.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Becky and Randy Blevins of Roan Mountain, and also her loyal and longtime friend, Connie Royer.
