A campaign to support men’s mental health
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — On January 27, 2021, Pop-Tarts and United Way announced Jocelyn Marr, 18, from Elizabethton, Tenn., as a recipient of a $2,500 grant from Pop-Tarts® & United Way as part of the recent Unwrap the Future Challenge, awarding grants to 20 young people across the country between the ages of 13 and 22 to spark their idea for how best to improve their community. Ideas tackle local food insecurity, mental health issues, homelessness, bullying, and other important topics.
Jocelyn was among the winners for their idea to create a social media and awareness campaign to support men’s mental health.
“Pop-Tarts wants to provide the spark for young people to use their creativity and curiosity to bring positive change in their community, and this is just the start,” said Pop-Tarts’ Sarah Reinecke, Senior Director, Brand Marketing. “In addition, Pop-Tarts and Kellogg are committed to creating Better Days for 3 billion people by the end of 2030.”
“United Way is once again amazed at the creative solutions our next generation of problem-solvers have come up with. This generation is open-minded, innovative and solution focused,” said Stan Little, Chief Experience Officer, United Way Worldwide. “By joining forces with Pop-Tarts, United Way is able to support the social wellness work of young people in local communities in the months and years to come.”
