Mary Louise Russell, 85, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Russell, and a son, John Russell.
Mary was a homemaker and loved her family. She was of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish her memory are three sons, Steve and Rose Russell, Tony and Barbara Russell and Jason and Stacey Russell, and three daughters, Judy and Eddie Watson, Tina and Lynn Grindstaff and Traci and Mark Potter. Thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive.
It was Mary’s wishes to have a private graveside service with her children and grandchildren. The family is not receiving friends due to the COVID pandemic. Active pallbearers will be Lynn Grindstaff, Mark Watson, Mark Potter, Bryan Russell, Jonathan Potter and Jason Russell Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Watson, Matt Scott and Jason Lingerfelt. A special thank you to her granddaughter, Leanna Watson Scott, for the loving care she gave her. Also, to Tim Andrews, for letting us connect with Mom when we couldn’t be with her.
