James Michael Perry, 66, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Johnson City Medical Center.
James was born in Maryville, Tenn., to the late James Craig and Nola Teague Perry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Perry; nephew, Justin Vanover; his first wife and the mother of his children, Anita Nance; and his high school buddy and best friend, Michael Elliott.
James was a retired plumber and enjoyed collecting guns, old coins and fishing.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rita J. Perry, of the home; two daughters, Latoya Huggins (Mack) of Elizabethton and Stacey Roberts (Billy) of Bluff City; two sons, Chad Perry (Hope) of Chuckey and William “Buddy” Alexander (Christina) of Elizabethton; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Perry of Elizabethton. Several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 28, from 2 until 4 p.m. at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. Our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve.
