Vivian Marie Moore, 83, of Roan Mountain, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 22, 2021, at Sycamore Shoal Hospital. Vivian was born in Crossnore, N.C., to the late Gwyn and Thelma Waycaster Blair. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jimmy Moore, and two brothers, Tony Blair and Bobby Blair.
Vivian loved gardening and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Mike Moore (Diane) of Johnson City and Tim Moore (Regina) of Johnson City; two grandchildren, Brandon Moore of Johnson City and Stephanie Moore of Minnesota; and one sister, Janice Peters of Bristol. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Vivian Moore will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, in the Birchfield Cemetery, Roan Mountain, Tenn., with Mr. Gerald Holly, minister, and Mr. Eddie McCallister officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are requested to meet at the Rhododendron Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Roan Mountain, at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Moore, Seth Anderson and Miranda Jones. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Lower Shell Creek Christian Church, 8726 Highway 19E, Roan Mountain, TN 37687.
