Daniel Patrick “Pat” Crowe, 71, of Summerville, S.C., husband of Nancy Sue Owens Crowe, passed away February 23, 2021, at Summerville Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Friends and family called at James A. Dyal Funeral Home in Summerville on Saturday, February 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 28, at 1 p.m. at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Interment followed at Summerville Cemetery, 1330 Boone Hill Road, Summerville, SC 29483. Flowers will be accepted.
Pat was born on May 18, 1949 in Elizabethton, Tenn., son of the late Daniel C. Crowe and Willa Florence (Cardwell) Crowe.
Pat was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Army where he served in the 101st Airborne Division as a medical corpsman. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Combat Medical Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 device, Air Medal, Expert Badge-Rifle Army Commendation Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. He retired from Guy C. Lee Building Materials in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., in 2020 as an inside salesman. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Nancy of 35 years, are two sons, Daniel Wade Crowe of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and John Patrick Crowe of Denver, Colo.; a stepdaughter, April Linnette Gaskins (Andrew) of Summerville, S.C.; two grandchildren, Andrew Justin Gaskins (Nicole) and Marissa Lynn Gaskins, both of Summerville, S.C.; a great-granddaughter, Caroline Rose Gaskins of Summerville, S.C.; a sister, Laura Susan (Crowe) Turner (Jim) of Knoxville, Tenn.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Michael E. Crowe.
